A surface of metal whose work function is 6.4 x 10^-19 joules is illuminated with light of frequency 3.0 x 10^15 Hz. Find the maximum kinetic energy of the emitted photo electron. (use h = 6.51 x 10^-34)

Kinetic energy = hf –hf0
= (6.51 x10^-34) (3 x 10^15) –(6.4 x 10 ^-19)
=1.313 x 10^-18J
